Drunken Whole Chicken

MUST try this!

The reduced sauce is heaven The reduced sauce is heaven

After St. Patrick’s day there is always a little leftover beer and cider from the festivities. This is a fantastic way to use up some of it along with a whole chicken. The flavors of the roast meat and vegetables mixed with the booze create a fantastic sauce. Make sure to use a dry hard cider (not sweet).

This is not to be confused with Beer Can Chicken.

Beer Chicken

  • 3 1/2-4 lb chicken
  • 2 large carrots cut into large chunks
  • 1 1/2 lbs potatoes skin on cut into chunks
  • 1 medium onion diced fine

THE CAREY FAMILY REACTS TO THE AUTOPSY REPORT

NEW YORK, April 4, 2014 – Yesterday, after six months of “utter” silence by government officials, the Carey Family received the final Autopsy Report for their beloved Miriam Iris Carey. After a careful analysis, the report supports their original hypothesis the shooting of their beloved Miriam was “NOT JUSTIFIED.”

Important Facts from the Report

• Miriam was in “good health”
• Miriam was not under the influence of alcohol or other drugs
• Miriam died from multiple gunshot wounds
• Miriam was shot from the back to the front, meaning all…

This is going VIRAL!

Originally posted on theGrio:

Donrell Breaux claims he was unlawfully arrested earlier this week, and video of the arrest has gone viral on Facebook.

The 26-year-old can be seen and heard in the video repeatedly asking for the reason for his arrest. Breaux’s friend, Eric Banegas, captured the incident on his cell phone.

The officer can be seen forcing his way into the home and handcuffing Breaux on a couch. During the arrest Breaux said several times “you’re scaring me” and “please don’t shoot me.”

Breaux told NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune he knows the arresting officer as a friend of his neighbors. The same neighbor he had a dispute with earlier that day.

Breaux said the March 30 confrontation started when he and Banegas were joking amongst themselves on Banegas’ front porch. Breaux told NOLA.com that he has been living at that address since December.

Breaux admitted the two were using profane language, but said “it wasn’t to the point that…

It’s A Garden Party At First Lady Michelle Obama’s House. School Children & FoodCorps Leaders Plant A White House Kitchen Garden.

cadesertvoice:

Mrs. Obama is my inspiration. My garden looks nothing like this, but at least I started one. I grow salad greens because I eat those alot: swiss chard, onions, garlic, tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers and herbs. It’s best to grow what you eat a lot of. In this day when food is inspected for only 1% of what ships to the grocer, growing your own let’s you know what you’re eating and if it is safe.

First Lady Michelle Obama, School Children, and FoodCorps Leaders to Plant Sixth Annual White House Kitchen Garden

Washington, DC—On Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 3:30 PM ET, First Lady Michelle Obama will join FoodCorps leaders and local students to plant the White House Kitchen Garden for the sixth year in a row.  In 2009, Mrs. Obama planted a vegetable garden on the South Lawn to initiate a national conversation around the health and wellbeing of our nation—a conversation that evolved into her Let’s Move! initiative.  Since Mrs. Obama launched Let’s Move! in 2010, parents, business leaders, educators, elected officials, military leaders, chefs, physicians, athletes, childcare providers, community and faith leaders, and kids themselves have stepped up to improve the health of our nation’s children.  And thanks to these efforts, we are moving toward a healthier new norm all across the country.

This year, Mrs. Obama…

The line started forming at 5 a.m. in front of an enrollment center in Miami — where trained workers have signed up 25,000 of their fellow Floridians since November. It was standing-room-only at a center in Houston yesterday.

The final deadline to get covered in 2014 is in just two days, and Americans are literally lining up at grassroots events across the country to make sure they’re covered.

This is what momentum looks like.

Take a look at some of the photos folks are sending in from events around the country — and if you like, share one of your own.

And if you still need health insurance, go to HealthCare.gov right now, submit an application, and get yourself signed up.
