About

Welcome to CADESERTVOICE!Β My name is Marion Young. I live in the California, USA desert, hence the name CAdesertvoice. Temperatures here can reach 130 degrees in the summer months. It’s no wonder I go for days without seeing a human. Here, I have learned to respect and coexist with coyotes, bobcats, snakes, wolves, hawks, eagles, scorpions, rabbits, lizards, squirrels and other critters. I know what to expect with them. It is man who is unpredictable. Here I have learned to get in touch with nature and expand my thinking.

I’ve been blogging on social network sites for some years now and have decided it’s time to have my own place. Being a retired college instructor, I enjoy helping others expand their minds too. These are interesting, awesome times we live in. I plan to share with you interesting, provocative and enlightening thoughts from me and others. The topics will range from politics to the environment to the food on your table and in between — in other words, everything — all with the goal to educate, provoke, enlighten, entertain and amuse you. Your feedback is encouraged.

Blessings!

Marion Young

p.s…If you read this far, I’ll give you a bit more about me: I was Personal Secretary to Sugar Ray Robinson (deceased), world famous boxer, after he retired from the ring. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugar_Ray_Robinson

  1. Hey DV….Didn’t realize you had a blog…Glad you linked to me so i found out you’re here.Hope all is well there with you. Nice site and I love the colors at the top! I haven’t been cruising around the web much these days. Busy at One World and am in the process of moving soon and I don’t look forward to the whole process…I’ll just be glad to be on the other end. Take care and stay in the light…….VK

    1. Thank you for linking up with me and I appreciate the compliments. You inspired me to create my own blog. I love sharing your insights. Good luck with the move and take it in stride. Easier said than done, right? I’ll remain in the light and you do as well ~ DV

  2. Greetings DV….I’ve got someone who comments at my blog and he was asking me if I knew anyone who would want to create a site for all spiritual sites to be listed where people can go to find what they are looking for. I didn’t know anybody and I’ll be damned if he didn’t do it himself!! I admire him for wanting to help the light shine. Thought maybe you would add your site to it as well and pass this link on to other sites you know of. Thanks a lot. He did a nice job.
    Blessings…VK

  3. Hey DV…
Please forgive me for bothering you again, but I wanted to suggest to you that you NOT do anything with that website info I sent you yesterday. I had visions all last night that the person wanting to start that site was working for the dark ones and trying to get all spiritual sites in one location to monitor!! This guy may be well meaning but I had to tell him no on second thought this did not sit well with me for the above reason I gave.

Sorry to have dropped this on you but I didn’t catch the possible evil attempt right away. Please disregard and i hope you didn’t contact him. Please, please forgive me… Have a good weekend and again I am sorry!!!! Blessings….Visionkeeper

  5. I’m glad I came across your blog. We have visited the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and Borrego Springs. The temperature that day was one hundred and fifteen degrees. It was considered cool by a resident we talked to. I will visit often. ~ Dennis
